Log Entry: Thursday, May 6th, 1999Ballet Bay to Chatterbox Falls: 42 nm
As we left Blind Bay, an eagle guided us through Telescope Passage. We had 15-28 knots of wind on our nose up Jervis Inlet. We went through Malibu Rapids: our entire trip had been keyed to going through these rapids at slack water, or even a little after. We arrived at 4:30, bang on schedule! We experienced no problems. Coming up Princess Louisa Inlet, the air was very misty, and we listened to Brendan's Voyage on the stereo ... At Chatterbox Falls, there was a boat from California tied up at the dock. The lady in the cockpit said they had been there ten days, and that we were seeing the strongest water yet coming over the falls. It was raining pretty hard, but we went for a walk up to the falls with the waterproof Canon. The scene was awesome: thundering water, with the spray cascading out for hundreds of feet. The night was uneventful: lots of rain.
