Log Entry: Monday, June 21st, 1999Reid Inlet to Shag Cove: 16.3 nm
Jane's log:
Today was the longest day of the year, which in Alaska is really saying something! We go to bed in broad daylight every night, and we've pretty well forgotten what night looks like. Whenever we see the moon, it's in a daylight environment. We haven't seen stars. That's OK though: we're not all that eager to see what the winter nights are like ...
We saw a whole bunch of these waaaay up on the mountainside. This is a picture taken by someone else of a hypothetical mountain goat ... |
