Log Entry: Monday, July 5th, 1999Tracy Arm to Chapin Bay: 50.3 nm
Saw lots of porpoises today. [We're finding that our watermaker pre-filter collects lots of sulfur compounds. Not sure why ... Also, we were concerned about the engine oil pressure, until I accidentally turned on the night illumination switch for the engine panel: the lube oil immediately went to normal! This was the day, also, when we discovered that our autopilot remote cable extension was a lot longer than we supposed: we can now operate it from almost anywhere on the boat!] We have discovered that there's a name for the wind we have experienced for most of our trip: it's called a noserly.
