We caught a crab!  The trap we put down last night has a big crab in it.We cleaned the crab underway, and Jane made a great crab salad for lunch.

We had strong current with us, for much longer than we expected, in fact all the way to Meyer's Chuck.

We passed the Village Islands and navigated some narrow passages, before anchoring in the 'front chuck' at Meyer's Chuck.  We went ashore, but there's no store, no restaurant, and only about 6 year-round residents.  We visited the remains of a gift shop(!).  The whole place is quite quaint (Irish?!).

We were invited aboard Molly MacDonald for Margaritas, and were regaled with stories about Neil and the Bear, and Bringing Home the Boat (from the BVI, through the Gulf Stream, being towed, off course three times).  I drank altogether too many Margaritas.

It was a hot afternoon, and a nice evening.

The engine oil pressure now reads normal!

Jane's log:

"Motored down Zimovia Strait and Ernest Sound to Meyer’s Chuck. Although the NW winds to sail did not appear we were glad to find the current still ebbing three hours into flood!! So we had current with us all the way.

"Cooked our crab catch(1 male) on the way, and had a great crab salad for lunch.

"Spotted seals, porpoises, eagles, scoders, and lots of leaping salmon along the way.

"Haircut and shower for all aboard before heading ashore: in shorts and t-shirts!!

"Margaritas aboard the Molly MacDonald: Steve, Ceil, and Neil.

"Propane tank finished!"
