Last night we watched LA Confidential.
"Waited in the rain at Macdonald Bay for the weather to ease and the tide to rise.
We left after the raven gave the OK and the Kingfisher came to say goodbye.
"We headed down Squally Channel into the sound in poor (less than 1 nm) visibility
and continuous rain. I enjoyed eating jujubes in the rain, and the seas were not as
bad as we had expected.
"We saw the breakers on Princess Royal before we saw the land - very strange - and
started to negotiate our way in the SW swell into Clarke Cove. We had decided there
was no point in continuing to Surf Inlet if we wouldn't see anything!"
