"Clive from Dublin came over to say hello as we were leaving Blunden Harbour: he
has a Sceptre 48 'Celestine'.
"What a great day: sailed anchor to anchor with a jib and staysail, mainly running
but brief stretches on a broad reach. Speed through the water ranged from 4 to 8;
SOG from 5 to 8.5. I really like the staysail and jib for running.
"Spotted three orcas in Queen Charlotte Strait before heading into Knight Inlet -
what a beautiful sight!
"Ching was great crew: she helped stow the lines!
"We anchored with 'Dragon's Eye' from San Francisco again (we first saw them in
Pruth Bay). We were a little behind them entering Cutter Cove, as the engine
wouldn't start - a few jibes and a tack kept us off the shore until she started.
"Spotted a great blue heron onshore as we dropped the hook in the very very windy
anchorage!"
