"It was a rapids day: Whirlpool Rapids, Greenpoint Rapids, and then, after a stop
in Blind Channel for fuel, food, and a
prezzie for dad, Dent Rapids and Yaculta Rapids.
"There were porpoises in Whirlpool and Greenpoint. We may have hit Yaculta a
little late, a half hour after slack (but better to hit Dent at slack)so we got a real
rush through the calm channel: we registered a 10 on SOG at one point.
"In Blind Channel, we finally met up with Mary and Jeff of 'Dragon's Eye", and also met the guy from
Friday Harbour who sold Ilari to Bruce.
"Great spot in Florence Cove: no other boats!
"We sat up on the rocks at the entrance to the cove for a Guinness."
